CUSTOMER SLAMS DIAMOND BANK PLC FOR FRAUD!!!

Diamond Bank Plc seem to be in the eye of the storm aplenty this days. It's either staff members are alleging one thing or the other or there are cases of fraud. The latest is a case of alleged fraud against the bank by one of it's customers.

A Mr. Oluwamayowa Iseyemi has already instituted a case of fraud against the bank at the Osogbo High Court in Osun State. His case is centered on the allegation that Diamond Bank tampered with his account with his knowledge, consent and authority. 

And what the man wants for damages is a cool #25million Naira. Mr. Iseyemi has had a relationship with the bank through the branch in Osogbo, Osun State since 2008. In 2009 he applied for and got a loan of #3million Naira. The terms of the repayment agreement stipulated a 2 equal monthly installment payment plus 25% par annum interest and includes a management fee of 2% flat per quarter in outstanding facility amount payable upfront”. Some of Nigeria’s finest celebrities came together for the launch of MTV Staying Alive Foundation campaign,Shuga, the globally acclaimed, award-winning TV drama about sex, youth and relationships.

MTV Base and MTV Staying Alive Foundation have joined forces with the Nigerian government’s National Agency for the Control of AIDS and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to combat a lack of awareness and misinformation about HIV, sexual responsibility and teen pregnancy among Nigerian youth, using the medium of Shuga, MTV’s award winning TV series and multimedia campaign.  PEPFAR (The US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief) has also expressed the intention to join forces with the campaign.

Sad News! Veteran highlife musician Fatai Rolling Dollar dies at 85

Such a sad news to report. Nigeria's oldest practicing musician, Pa Fatai Olayiwola Olagunju, popularly known asFatai Rolling Dollar has passed on. He died this morning at Marritol Hospital,   Sam Sonibare Street in Surulere after a brief illness. One of his wives, Funmulayo Olagunju, confirmed his death. He was 85 year old,he was very active musician who did many collaborations with young acts, including Idris Abdulkareem died this morning in a Surulere hospital.
He is survived by three wives, including a German and 16 children. May his soul rest in peace, amen.

Ten Things Children Need The Most

Every adult was once a child and we all know the importance of childhood. This days our kids grow up so fast, we need to treasure every moment of their childhood. I read this article and thought of sharing it with all parents and also to say Happy Children's day to all the lil ones! I love you all.                        

One: Meeting their everyday needs
Babies and children need to know there is someone who loves them and that their needs will be met as soon as possible. This means:
feeding them when they're hungry
keeping them warm, dry and safe from danger
helping them if they are in pain, scared or upset

providing family routines
making sure there is always someone you trust to look after them.
A few minutes is a long time for a baby who is feeling hungry or upset.   The sooner they are comforted the safer they will feel.

Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, born February 7, 1978 is a leading actress, singer, and philanthropist from Lagos, Nigeria.
She attended Chrisland School Opebi,(1981-1987) Oxford Children School,(1987) Santos Layout, Command Secondary School Kaduna,(1988-1993), a brief stint at Obafemi Awolowo University and finally Yaba College of Technology Yaba,(1996-2004) where she studied Estate Management.
Omotola’s original career ambition was to work in Business Management and while awaiting her results from University, she was introduced to acting by escorting another model friend to an audition. Her first acting role was in the 1995 movie, Venom of justice directed by Reginald Ebere.

Fela Anikulapo Kuti, born in Abeokuta, Nigeria on the 15th October 1938, was a multi-instrumentalist musician and composer, pioneer of Afrobeat music, human rights activist, and politician.
His mother, Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti, was a feminist activist in the anti-colonial movement; his father, Reverend Israel Oludotun Ransome-Kuti, a Protestant minister and school principal, was the first president of the Nigeria Union of Teachers. Fela was also a first cousin to the Nigerian writer and Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka, the first African to win a Nobel Prize for Literature.
Fela was sent to London in 1958 to study medicine but decided to study music instead at the Trinity College of Music. While there, he formed the band Koola Lobitos, playing a fusion of jazz and highlife. In 1960, Fela married his first wife, Remilekun (Remi) Taylor, with whom he would have three children (Femi, Yeni, and Sola).
In 1967, he went to Ghana to think up a new musical direction. …

Chinua Achebe was born into an Ibo family on Nov. 16, 1930, at Ogidi in Anambra, Nigeria. He was educated at a government college in Umuahia, and he graduated from the University of Ibadan.
While working for the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation, he composed his first novel, Things Fall Apart (1959), at a time when Nigerian prose fiction was represented solely by the fantastic folklore romances of Amos Tutuola and the popular stories of urban life of Cyprian Ekwensi. Achebe's novel introduced serious social and psychological analysis into Nigerian literature. It is set in the early days of colonization and tells the tragedy of a warrior hero who rigidly identifies with the values of traditional Ibo society."Things Fall Apart" went on to sell more than 12 million copies and been translated into more than 50 languages.
